Children of Blood and Bone

Another example of why I love foreign writers. Tomi Adeyemi took the wisdom of African culture and marinated it with a sci fi tale that was both insightful and suspenseful. You feel a kinship with Zeilie as her quest to restore greatness rages on. With destiny on her side, she falters but quests on to fulfill her destiny and the fate of her people. Her saga is epic with twists and turns that would defeat the average ‘soldier’ but she’s confident and knows that the fate of the future lies in her ability to fulfill her destiny.

Great story, excellent writing. I normally don’t read scifi but this was recommended and I’m glad that I did!
